PLP Composites Corporate Profile

Beauty. Durability. Pride.
by Keziah Olsen, LASN

PLP Composites has been hand-crafting the finest composite/fiberglass flagpoles and light poles in New Hampshire since 1968. In fact, PLP pioneered the use of composites in the flagpole industry and has stayed with our tried-and-true methodology from the beginning. While others have gone to the use of machine-driven filament-winding processes, our craftspeople build each pole with care and pride. The result is a pole free of ugly and damaging seams and visible textured strands of fiber, so they last much longer and look more beautiful doing so.
While other materials rot, rust, corrode, oxidize, and otherwise discolor, fiberglass looks and performs like new for ages, fighting the elements like no other material can. That is why the boating industry nearly universally employs fiberglass for their hulls! If it looks that good in water, think how great it will look around town!

But not just any fiberglass composite will do. Our products are over-engineered for both lasting strength and beauty. Our poles of course meet NAAMM and AASHTO standards, but we go the extra mile adding surface layers and a polished finish that our competition omits. Simply put, our products outlast, beautifully.
Our Athena decorative lines of outdoor light pole products are cast with our particular blend of polyurethane and polyethylene resins to produce thick, durable walls with a weight that has the "Goldilocks" effect of significant weight and density without being too heavy. These factors make installation far easier than poles made from steel, concrete and even aluminum, and will perform far better over time.
Our vision for PLP Composites is to provide the highest quality composite products with unrivaled customer experience, and to do so competitively. Our dedicated and experienced team of crafters and customer guides are the heart of our business and they each understand how critical their role is, from end to end. Trust PLP with your flagpole and light pole needs. Many thousands already do.
