PLP Composites has been hand-crafting the finest composite/fiberglass flagpoles and light poles in New Hampshire since 1968. In fact, PLP pioneered the use of composites in the flagpole industry and has stayed with our tried-and-true methodology from the beginning. While others have gone to the use of machine-driven filament-winding processes, our craftspeople build each pole with care and pride. The result is a pole free of ugly and damaging seams and visible textured strands of fiber, so they last much longer and look more beautiful doing so.
While other materials rot, rust, corrode, oxidize, and otherwise discolor, fiberglass looks and performs like new for ages, fighting the elements like no other material can. Our Athena decorative lines of outdoor light pole products are cast with our particular blend of polyurethane and polyethylene resins to produce thick, durable walls with a weight that has the "Goldilocks" effect of significant weight and density without being too heavy. These factors make installation far easier than poles made from steel, concrete and even aluminum, and will perform far better over time.
