FNGA Announces Florida Plants of the Year

ORLANDO, FL

The Florida Plants of the Year Program, sponsored by the Florida Nurserymen & Growers Association Woody Division Steering Committee, is in full swing this year. The program, launched in 1997, is an on-going effort to promote the production, sale and use of superior, proven, yet under-utilized Florida-grown plants.

The Selection Committee that chooses the varieties each year includes Landscape Architects, horticulturalists, nurserymen, educators and other professional members of the landscape industry from central, north and southern Florida.

Applications for the 2001 varieties are available to landscape professionals. The deadline to submit your plant materials is March 12, 1999. Contact FNGA at 800-375-3642 for information and an applications.
