PLANET, the national trade association that represents more than
100,000 landscape industry professionals, has announced the creation of
two new awards.

The Professional Landcare Network has announced the creation of two new awards that will showcase the skills and entrepreneurial spirit of outstanding industry professionals.

The Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award will recognize an outstanding female in the landscape industry who has demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and initiative.

The Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award will recognize a landscape industry professional, age 30 or under, who has demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and initiative and is an example to students and other young professionals in the early stages of a landscape industry career.

"PLANET's Awards Committee created the new awards to recognize the fantastic entrepreneurial spirit that
exists in our industry," said Sabeena Hickman, CAE, CMP, PLANET CEO. "We encourage PLANET members
to apply and to nominate their peers so that we can showcase some of the amazing professionals who are
making an impact."

Applications are being accepted through August 15. The awards will be presented at PLANET's Great Escape event in February 2015.
