The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) recently presented its Lifetime Leadership Award to David Snodgrass, Landscape Industry Certified, and president of Dennis' 7 Dees Landscaping and Garden Centers in Portland, Oregon. PLANET's Lifetime Leadership Award is presented annually to a member of the association who has demonstrated leadership, service, and commitment to both PLANET and the green industry. It honors individuals who have improved the green industry and inspired others throughout their careers with their pioneering spirit and demonstrated inventiveness. Snodgrass is a former president of both the Oregon Landscape Contractors Association and PLANET. He also served on PLANET's Board of Directors, chaired PLANET's Safety Committee for a number of years, and is a PLANET Trailblazer, which allows him the opportunity to mentor younger people who are entering the industry. During his 36 years leading the family business, Snodgrass with his brothers Drew and Dean, and their team of dedicated employees have grown Dennis' 7 Dees Landscaping and Garden Centers from a small company into a $25 million dollar powerhouse that has won many safety and top landscape design awards over the years. The company has also done many community service projects, including projects for PLANET Day of Service. "Dave has shown great commitment to the industry and is always willing to give his time and share his knowledge to help improve the industry," said Sabeena Hickman, CAE, CMP, CEO of PLANET.
