The Professional Landcare Network has announced their annual Great Escape event, which will take place at Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., February 27 to March 1, 2014. Great Escape brings together landscape industry company owners and upper-level management for a few days of networking, tours, and leadership education from well-known national speakers that bring their "outside-the-box" perspective to corporate development. The keynote speaker is Michael Burger, television personality and expert on corporate relevancy. He will discuss the reasons why some nimble companies have staggering success in a quickly changing marketplace while others don't. Other speakers include Cam Marston, an expert on working with and serving different generations; Kenneth Colonna, director of safety services with Walt Disney Parks and Resorts; Robert Bullock, acclaimed interpersonal communication specialist; and Roger Zino and Dave Hanson from ValleyCrest Landscape Companies. Great Escape also includes time for networking during receptions and special events, including a Huntington Library Asian Garden Tour with ValleyCrest Landscape Companies, numerous receptions, Disney fireworks, and a PLANET leadership awards breakfast hosted by STIHL, Inc. For schedule information or to register, visit landcarenetwork.org/greatescape. Early-bird pricing is in effect until February 3. Great Escape is approved for PLANET Landscape Industry Certified recertification at 1 CEU per hour of instruction attended. The conference is sponsored at the Platinum Level by Caterpillar, Inc., at the Gold Level by Bayer, and at the Silver level by JOHN DEERE.
