Pittsburgh Created New Interactive Guide to Parks and Trails

Will Help with Planning, Maintenance and Public Safety

The City of Pittsburgh Parks and Recreation department revealed a new interactive guide and the new Citiparks website. This gives valuable information to the community.

Pittsburgh Parks and Recreation department recently released a comprehensive and interactive website that gives users any and all information about their various programs. The new Citiparks website was also released.

Information such as hours of operation, reservations and special events will be available on the Citiparks website, also unveiled recently.

"This critical information had been missing for far too long," Mayor Bill Peduto stated, "We have always known the social, health and economic impacts of having access to park and recreation space, but during the pandemic we all saw firsthand how much we relied on our parks. Now, we're able to provide the people of Pittsburgh with a place to learn about their parks like never before."

Besides the Citiparks site, there is also an interactive guide to the 160 miles of trails on an aerial map which was created by the city of Pittsburgh's Department of Innovation and Performance which will also aid in planning, maintenance and public safety.
