Partnering with the International Facilities Management Association Silicon Valley chapter (IMFA SV) and The GROW Organization, Gachina Landscape Management participated in an Earth Day beautification project at the Sunnyvale Adult School Daycare facility in the Fremont Union High School District.
A team of nine volunteers from Gachina Landscape Management spent a whole Saturday renovating the landscape and children's play area at the facility. The services provided by the Gachina team members is estimated at $8,474. The volunteers removed a trip hazard by installing decomposed granite with base rock and a retaining wall. They also top-dressed three sandboxes, installed sod in bare lawn areas, removed weeds from the garden planter, added compost for future planting and top-dressed the entrance planter areas with compost and mulch. Gachina Landscape Management has partnered with IMFA SV on their Spring community outreach projects since 2008. The company consistently donates time, expertise, materials and equipment to charitable causes in the Silicon Valley area.
