The Plantscape Institute of America has announced that its 24th annual national tradeshow and conference will be held at Chicago's historic Navy Pier August 19 – 21, 2014. The show will be held in conjunction with the 2014 Independent Garden Center Show, IGC Chicago.

"PIA@IGC" is part of an effort to broaden and provide a new experience to PIA's horticulture members. The conference will include education seminars, an awards gala, a plantscape design lounge, and its own unique Showcase exhibit and lounge space.

Attendees will have full access to the sold-out exhibition hall on the IGC floor, a keynote by Martha Stewart and the opening night concert with Eddie Money.

"This is a collaboration that makes sense. It will be a fresh, stimulating and engaging environment for the design-savvy plantscaper," says Tim Konig, PIA's Executive Chair.

The move to IGC Chicago marks a significant change for PIA. 2014 is the first time in 24 years that the conference and tradeshow has been held east of the Rockies.

"The location change is a reflection of PIA's geographically diverse membership base as well as its commitment to bring educational programs specific to the plantscaping community to locations where there is significant activity in this horticultural specialty," says Konig.
