Professional baseball facilities often get put to use for non-baseball activities in the off-season. For Petco Park in San Diego, that now includes golf. In partnership with Callaway Golf, the ballpark, which is home to the San Diego Padres, was converted into a nine-hole course. The Links at Petco Park gave golfers the chance to tee off from inside the ballpark. Each hole featured a special theme and prizes. Tee times were available to the public but quickly filled up. The Padres always put Petco Park to good and often creative use when there's no baseball in town. Among the past activities hosted were a Zombie walk associated with the San Diego Comic Con in 2012. They've also hosted Davis Cup tennis, and this December will host the Bill Walton Basketball Festival. The Padres, in partnership with Callaway Golf, officially announced The Links at Petco Park, a nine-hole golf experience. As part of the event, golfers paid fees "?u starting at $100 for a twosome and $200 for a foursome "?u to take shots onto the playing field from various tees set up around the ballpark.
