Pesticide License Training

In Texas, a private pesticide applicator uses or supervises the use of restricted-use or state-limited-use pesticides or regulated herbicides on: Personally owned property; rented property; property owned by his or her employer; property under his or her general control; or property of another person IF applied without compensation, other than the trading of personal services between producers of agricultural commodities.

Any landscape contractors in the mid-Texas area who are interested in obtaining their Private Pesticide Applicator License to buy and apply certain restricted pesticides will have an opportunity to complete the training and take the licensing test December 2, 2010 at the FIRM Center in Cameron across from the Milam County Extension Office.  The cost of the training is $35 and includes the training manual, associated study materials, and refreshments.
