The Propane Education & Research Council has updated its online resources to support National Park & Recreation Month. The site is meant to inform officials in the park and recreation industry how propane-powered maintenance equipment can reduce emissions and costs. This month focuses on the importance of health and wellness, social equity and conservation of parks and recreation, and departments can meet these goals with the aid of such mowers and vehicles. Jeremy Wishart, PERC director of off-road business development, stated, "The savings and environmental benefits of using propane makes the fuel a great choice for municipalities determined to keep their communities healthy, clean, and safe. We're seeing increasing interest from municipal fleets in using clean-burning propane equipment to reduce emissions and costs. By highlighting these resources, we hope to connect parks directors and fleet managers with the information they need to support those goals." The municipal webpage showcases case studies and testimonial videos of fleets using propane mowers and propane autogas vehicles in the U.S. These resources are be available at Propane.com/Resources-for-Municipalities.
