31 Years with University Set to Retire June 30

Penn State College of Arts and Architecture, Distinguished Professor of Landscape Architecture, Ken Tamminga will retire on June 30th after 31 years with the college.

Professor Tamminga has over thirty years of experience in education and eight years in consulting in Toronto. He taught upper-level design studios and courses as well as on-site ecology and plants classes. According to ResearchGate, the educator focuses on ecological design, riparian urbanism, green networks, and underserved communities.
He is the Departmental Education Abroad Coordinator, holds the Distinguished Honors Faculty, sits on the Penn State Tree Commission, and sat on the Evan Pugh University Professor Committee.
