Pelco Products has been a service-oriented company since its inception in 1985. However, the Pelco team was recently given a new way to demonstrate their service skills.
Edmond, Okla. detective Tom Evans, a friend of Pelco, saw a need in Moore right after the tornadoes and brought a great group of people together to help in the relief efforts. Detective Evans along with Scott Vinson, vice president of Cargill Meat Solutions organized the three day event. Cargill donated hamburger patties, Kingsford Charcoal donated charcoal, Pepsi and Frito Lay donated their products, Walmart provided hamburger buns, condiments, plates and everything else needed while Pelco used their smoker to grill the burgers. Each company had several employees and family members volunteer.
"Pelco was happy to help demonstrate the Oklahoma Standard. When one of us is hurting, we all work together to make things right. While there are still many challenges ahead, we are so blessed to live in a state where people care enough to stop what they're doing and make an effort to help out," said Steve Parduhn, one of the owners of Pelco Products.
In total, the company spent three days grilling burgers. This was truly a labor of love and compassion- all products and services were provided free-of-charge.
