The concrete association's representatives plan to attend the hearings on 600 proposed changes to an upcoming edition of the International Building Code in order to offer support of proposals that strengthen the code, and opposition to those that weaken the code and favor alternative construction systems.

In response to the newly posted, proposed changes to the 2018 Edition of the International Building Code, which will be reviewed at the International Code Council Committee Action Hearings, the Portland Concrete Association will send spokespersons to represent the interests of the concrete industry.
