Ballots were e-mailed to buyers and merchandise managers of 500 homecenter/building material dealers/retailers. They were asked to select one supplier from each of 32 product categories they felt excelled in strategic partnerships with retailers/dealers using the following criteria: Category Management, Inventory Management, New Product Innovation, Quality Control and Serving Pros. The vendors receiving the most votes within their respective category were awarded the Golden Hammer Award.
