Paver Inflation Brick and Clay Pavers Up in Price WASHINGTON, D.C.
While inflation for many construction materials barely registers a blip on the radar screen, prices for products that remain in short supply-- including brick and clay pavers-- stand well above the overall inflation rate for construction materials. According to Cahner's Economics, strong growth in the housing sector-- combined with modest gains in the nonresidential market-- have spurred a 3% increase in brick and clay tile prices. By the end of the year, prices are expected to register an annual gain of 2.8 percent.
