This program funds governments and nonprofit environmental organizations for the acquisition of community-based parks but requires that local governments provide a minimum 25% match - except for nonprofits and small municipalities. The funding cycle for the 2024-25 fiscal year is $15.7 million.

An application webinar will be held Oct. 15 to assist applicants with the submission process. The applications require a cover letter, form and submittal prior to being sent to the review process where the FCT Governing Board then hosts a ranking and selection meeting through final approval. The application is open through Jan. 19 and places a special focus on low-income communities.
