According to the San Francisco Orchid Society (SFOS), "To experience the tranquility and volatility of a symphony is to capture nature's beauty in the thousands of shapes, colors and fragrances of orchids." This year, SFOS will conduct "A Symphony of Orchids"-- conveying the intricate and complex form of an orchid by expressing its exotic beauty through the various sounds of the instruments. "A Symphony of Orchids" brings its communicative art to this annual festival of flowers.
To be held at the Festival Pavilion in San Francisco February 25-28, 1999, the exposition will provide Landscape Architects, horticulturalists and avid orchid lovers alike with the opportunity to view and enjoy thousands of diverse and exotic orchids, tours and informative lectures.
