As part of educating Chicago youngsters about trees, the Morton rolled out a teacher resources section on its website. The arboretum staff has enlisted Chicago Public School fourth graders in all 50 wards?EUR??,,????'?????<??oethat’s more than 3,000 kids?EUR??,,????'?????<??oeto write messages on bright green ribbons saying why trees are important to them. The ribbons are decorating a large Triumph?EUR??,,????'?????????????? elm tree that will temporarily reside on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago, April 19-24, then be permanently planted in Grant Park’s Hutchinson Field in a public ceremony, the site of President Obama?EUR??,,????'?????<???EUR?s election night 2008 victory speech.
The Grant Park planting will be one of many trees planted throughout Chicagoland.
