Turfgrass managers wanting to boost their professional credentials and further their careers can earn a Turfgrass Management Certificate online through the University of California, Riverside, Extension.
All courses are offered in the evening via live Webcasts so students can learn in the comfort of their own homes and still have the opportunity to observe and interact with other online students, classroom students and instructors.

Instructors include a research associate at UC Riverside, a world leader in turfgrass research, and others whose experience and education make them significant contributors in their fields.
Students will learn the latest research in turfgrass management and efficient and environmentally sensitive practices for managing turfgrass facilities such as golf courses, sports fields and cemeteries.
Instruction includes: how to identify various turf species; integrated pest management practices, and technical skills related to the design, installation, maintenance and management of irrigation and drainage systems with an emphasis on conservation.
?EUR??,,????'?????<?Given the current water crisis in California, we want to make sure turfgrass professionals are using the best practices for water conservation and management,?EUR??,,????'?????<? Coco said.
The certificate requires 24 units of mandatory coursework plus six units of electives. Typically, students complete the certificate requirements over five quarters or 15 months.
