Two students received scholarships from the OLA this past year. OLA's 2017 Scholarship Recipients.

(Left) Christian J. Moore was presented a $1,500 Scholarship. He currently attends Ohio State University, is a chairperson with The Chadwick Arboretum, officer for the student chapter of the ASLA, and a research assistant studying agricultural drainage systems, including botanical buffer systems.

(Right)Trent Weber was the recipient of a $1,000 Scholarship. At present, he is a senior at Chardon High School in Chardon, Ohio, and has been taking vocational training courses at Auburn Career Center, Weber previously earned a 2016 ONLA Scholarship, a second place finish at the 2016 Landscaper's Challenge, and a 10th place individual finish at the 2016 Ohio High School Landscape Olympics.
