For the first time, the city of Los Angeles will host the National Preservation Conference 2000. Organized by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the conference will be held Oct. 31 - Nov. 5 and is expected to attract nearly 3,000 attendees. The theme of the conference is "Saving America's Treasures in the 21st Century". With more than 70 educational sessions and 40 field sessions, the 2000 conference is sure to be a success.
