NRPA Virtual Conference Schedule Released

Over 60 Sessions Scheduled

The virtual event will take place from October 27 through 29 and will offer a variety of different Continuing Education Units during that time.

Last month it was reported that NRPA had opened registration for the NRPA Annual Conference: A Virtual Experience, which will be held in late October. A new update has come about as the association has released the session schedule for the three-day event.

The statement of the schedule expressed the excitement NRPA has for the conference. It read, "This October 27-29, thousands of people who are passionate about parks and recreation and making their communities great places to live will converge for inspirational education sessions, energetic discussions and an inside look at the latest products for the field at the 2020 NRPA Annual Conference: A Virtual Experience. NRPA Virtual will not only bring us all together as a park and recreation community but also will serve as a platform for networking and exchanging ideas in new and imaginative ways."

In the previous announcement, they communicated that the conference would contain a multitude of discussions centered around current and relevant topics within the parks and recreation field. The schedule they created appears to fit in line with that idea as the first three sessions listed are titled:
- Data-Driven Strategies for Equitable Urban Park Investment
- Emerging Leaders; Put the Pow! In Powerhouse
- LWCF State Assistance Fund: Tapping into Its Great Potential for Your Community.

There are more than 60 seminars and 12 educational tracks available for attendees.
