The National Recreation and Park Association's CEO, Barbara Tulipane, released a statement in response to the passing of the tax reform bill. "Today, Congress passed a sweeping tax overhaul that will affect nearly all Americans. NRPA is pleased that the tax exemption for municipal bonds, private activity bonds, and state and local taxes were preserved in the tax reform bill. "As more details emerge, NRPA will pay close attention to how the tax bill is implemented - especially with regard to the municipal bond market, which fuels critical park and recreation projects in cities and towns across America. "We also look forward to the continued conversation about a potential infrastructure package, as it will positively impact our member agencies and the services they provide."To read more about the NRPA's position on the bill click here.
