Funds Provided by the Historic Preservation Fund by Staff
The National Park Service (NPS) recently announced the distribution of $85.15 million in grant funding to support the preservation of historic sites across the United States. The funding is broken into two areas with $23 million going towards Tribal Historic Preservation Offices (THPO) and $62.15 million to states, territories, and partnering nations. The funds, provided through the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF), are distributed to support the preservation of historic buildings, sites, and cultural resources. "These grants will help communities preserve their unique history and heritage, and provide opportunities for their residents and visitors to learn from and enjoy these special places," said NPS Deputy Director Shawn Benge.
The Association announced a new chairman as well as five new companies who joined the Business Council.
