SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vermont-The National Gardening Association (NGA) has announced April as National Garden Month for 2005. There will be educational activities, public events, government proclamations, garden center seminars, and the introduction of the ?EUR??,,????'??Give a Garden?EUR??,,????'?? program, a nationwide campaign to encourage the building of gardens, both modest and grand.
NGA is creating a ?EUR??,,????'??Give a Garden Teacher's Kit?EUR??,,????'?? to encourage schools to participate. The kit will include a step-by-step activities poster and seed packets to allow teachers and students to plan and implement a garden project.
Garden Centers are also encouraged to participate in the Give a Garden program. The one page ?EUR??,,????'??Give a Garden Suggestions for Garden Centers?EUR??,,????'?? will be available at www.garden.org. Thus far, the Scotts Company's Miracle-Gro??????oe Nursery Select?EUR??,,????<???, Subaru of America, Inc., and Hilton Garden Inn??????oe are sponsoring National Garden Month 2005.
