New Zealand Firm Wins Int?EUR??,,????'???l Landscape Architect Awards

 

The Oriental Bay foreshore redevelopment in Wellington, New Zealand was recognized as an outstanding project at the 42nd International Federation of Landscape Architects World Congress in, Edinburgh Scotland, June 26?EUR??,,????'???29.

The Isthmus Group, based in Auckland, New Zealand, was part of a multidisciplinary team, including Architecture Group, and Tonkin and Taylor contracted by Wellington City Council, to undertake the redevelopment of Oriental Bay in Wellington, New Zealand. The project won an Award of Excellence from the International Federation of Landscape Architects for the eastern region, recognizing the best quality landscape works in Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Australia, Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, India and China.

Renee Lambert, president of the New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects, deemed the work on the beaches, headland, pier and promenade for the Oriental Bay project a ?EUR??,,????'??bold design carried out with elegantly restrained detailing.?EUR??,,????'?? The Isthmus Group also received an Award of Merit for the redevelopment of the central business district of Hastings, New Zealand.
