New York Offering Recertification Credits

 

New York State Turfgrass Association, New York State Nursery/Landscape Association, New York State Arborists – ISA Chapter and New York State Flower Industries will host the first ever Green Industry Show from Nov. 15 to 17 at the Rochester Convention Center.

The Empire State Green Industry Show will offer 41.25 DEC category specific credits, 3.75 CORE credits, 2.05 GCSAA education points and 22.5 ISA continuing education units. In addition, pesticide applicator recertification credits will be available for Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont. Certified Nursery Professional, Professional Grounds Maintenance Society, Sports Turf Managers Association, and New York State Recreation & Park Society recertification credits will also be available.

Session topics include sports turf, golf turf, entomology, arboriculture, nursery and landscape, turfgrass, floriculture, lawn and landscape, soils, pesticide education, school IPM, aquatics, and regulatory updates. Other events scheduled for this year?EUR??,,????'???s show include a Job Fair, Turf Bowl, Certified Nursery Professional (CNP) Exam, SUNY Cobleskill alumni reunion dinner, and New York State Arborist ?EUR??,,????'??? ISA Chapter Inc. annual live auction and awards dinner.

Key speakers include Lynette Stark – Deputy Commissioner with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Deputy Commissioner Stark will present the results and recommendations from the New York State Invasive Species Task Force report to the Governor and legislature along with a DEC update.
