The launch of First Source Exchange (www.firstsourceexchange.com), a CMD Group Initiative, sets a new standard in on-line building product information.

Users can search for product information by product trade name, Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) codes, manufacturer name or by a key word search. Once users locate a product they can view product profiles, technical details and download product drawings and manufacturers' product specifications.

First Source Exchange also simplifies contacting the building product manufacturer with its easily accessible contact information including local and national phone numbers, email addresses and mailing addresses. Many of the product listings also include links to the manufacturers' websites.

Design community members can join First Source Exchange at no cost by logging onto www.firstsourceexchange.com and completing a one-time registration form.
