The American Society of Consulting Arborists has announced the launch of a new webinar, Soils and Tree Management, which is taught by Dr. Jason Grabosky, Professor, Department of Ecology, Evolution and Natural Resources at Rutgers University. This webinar will help attendees move beyond basic soil science by focusing on: Biotic capacity Viable soil volumes Soil density Soil compaction and mediation The impact of construction on soils and trees Soil preservation techniques Dr. Grabosky teaches courses in tree biology, arboriculture, and urban forestry at Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences. His research explores aspects of urban canopy management and the interaction of trees and built infrastructure. He lectures regionally, nationally, and internationally on design, plant selection, and urban tree management. ASCA and ISA have approved this online course for one CEU.
