According to DotGreen Community, $6 trillion has already been invested in the global green economy, and over $10 trillion is forecast to be spent by 2020.

There is a new web domain name extension in town and it seems to be a good fit for landscape companies – ".green."

According to DotGreen Community, stewards of the new domain extension, .green is a way for companies to showcase their green initiatives and connect with sustainably-minded customers.

The organization, based in San Francisco, states that their mission is "to harness the power of the Internet to bring together green and going-green companies, nonprofit organizations and consumer purchasing power to build a platform that makes a difference." According to them, $6 trillion has already been invested in the global green economy, with well over $10 trillion forecast by 2020.

Early adopters of the new extension include Forever Green Landscaping, Garden Design, and Giardina, a Swiss company creating living walls.
