JOHNSTOWN, Pa. - The Rockaway Landscaping Tool is now available for use with compact tractors. The device attaches to the tractor's loader bucket and turns rough, rocky ground into a finely-groomed seedbed.
While tilling and fluffing the soil, the Rockaway removes rocks and debris. Soil and rocks are processed together by a durable rotor equipped with carbide-tipped mining teeth which are spiral-mounted to pull material toward the center. Soil clumps are broken up and passed through the rotor and out the Rockaway screen, leaving behind fine soil for seeding.
The Rockaway should be used with tractors that have a hydraulic system capacity of 6 gpm or more and a remote hydraulic valve is required. In addition, the tractor must be able to move at very slow speeds, while maintaining constant engine RPM.
For further information about the Rockaway product, call MDS at (800) 879-6507.
