The Texas Turf Irrigation Association has established an enforcement committee that lets clients report installers who violate business or licensing practice rules. The Association has no legal authority over irrigation contractors, but says it may forward reports to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, which oversees licensing for irrigation installers.
?EUR??,,????'??In many cases, the most effective enforcement will come through local authorities, and efforts will be made to encourage them to take a stronger interest in irrigation activities that affect the health and welfare of their citizens,?EUR??,,????'?? the TTIA said.
Violators could have their irrigation licenses suspended, the TCEQ website says.
Lora Coy chairs the new TTIA enforcement committee. She can be reached at (866) 848-8842.
