New Survey Ranks Landscape Architecture Schools

The independent company, DesignIntelligence, has recently completed a survey that polled 6,119 hiring professionals, 359 deans, chair & department heads, and 5,451 students, regarding America's top-ranked architecture and design schools.

Dozens of rankings and lists were derived from the survey, for example the "Top 25 Most Admired Schools" for graduate and undergraduate universities that have landscape architecture programs, as well as 12 different rankings of unique focus areas like which undergraduate curriculum had the best "Communication and Presentation Skills" or which graduate program had the best "Design Theory and Practice."

Coming in at number one, across 10 out of 13 undergraduate categories, was Louisiana State University. This college won the "Most Admired" school and came in first for nine of the 12 focus areas.

For graduate schools, Louisiana State University came in at number five, with Harvard University landing that number one spot.

The company also released its list of "Most Admired Educators," featuring 28 professors and instructors from across the country.
