A Massachusetts businessman wanted to do something different?EUR??,,????'??+really different?EUR??,,????'??+with his newly remodeled, Florida riverfront home. Every home of distinction offers something special in terms of view, architectural uniqueness, or perhaps unusual landscaping. This owner however, wanted to do more than provide his guests with something nice to look at. He wanted his guests to leave with a truly memorable experience. On several occasions, he had opportunity to see some musical fountain shows produced by Waltzing Waters, Inc. of Cape Coral Florida. He noticed the emotional impact they had on spectators, the exited ?EUR??,,????'??wows?EUR??,,????'?? and spontaneous applause reminiscent of fireworks displays. He knew he had found something truly unique. Many homes have fountains, but nothing like this. ?EUR??,,????'??Could such an impressive display be downsized and adapted to a residential site??EUR??,,????'?? he wondered. As luck would have it, the Waltzing Waters manufacturing facility was located only ten miles from his Florida home. A visit was definitely in order. When touring the facility, he learned the fountains were available in smaller versions than the lake-sized productions he had previously seen. As an example, the facility housed a complete, thirty foot long indoor Waltzing Waters show. Capable of producing all the amazing effects of its larger counterparts, it was set up specifically for demonstrations and R & D work. Though smaller than what he had previously seen, he was still amazed how beautiful and effective it was. President Michael Przystawik explained his family had been in this business for over seventy years. ?EUR??,,????'??My grandfather invented musical fountains around 1930 and the torch has been passed down three generations. As the Zambelli family is to fireworks, so are we to musical fountains.?EUR??,,????'?? He added, ?EUR??,,????'??Up until now, everything we?EUR??,,????'???ve done has been in the commercial market, for parks, shopping centers, theaters, restaurants, etc. However, in the last couple years, we?EUR??,,????'???ve come up with some designs that could be easily adapted for use in a residential setting.?EUR??,,????'?? Thus, the stage was set for the first such show to be installed in a private residence. One of the first issues to be addressed was supplying power for the equipment. Since the original electrical service in the home wasn?EUR??,,????'???t designed with a fountain show in mind, a separate service was installed for this purpose. It was installed in an outside utility closet on one side of the home, alongside the fountain control system cabinet. In an effort to smooth out the variables in interpreting national and local electrical codes, Przystawik decided several years ago to subject his manufacturing facility to the rigors of U.L certification. ?EUR??,,????'??It was expensive and difficult, but well worth it. We were one of the first fountain companies in the world to achieve such status.?EUR??,,????'?? Next, the architect had to address various facets of the pool design. With aesthetics in mind, and utilizing information from Waltzing Waters, a pool for the musical fountain was designed. For a further aesthetic touch, a series of smaller pools were constructed around the main pool. Each of these overflowed into the main pool forming a pleasing, cascading effect. In addition to the synchronized, musical fountain shows, a couple of ?EUR??,,????'??ambient effect?EUR??,,????'?? programs were provided. For times when ?EUR??,,????'??shows?EUR??,,????'?? are not being presented, various patterns of water are displayed at low height, changing every couple of minutes creating a pleasant effect for the surrounding area. After the installation was finished, the owner held a party for all the contractors involved in his remodeling project. The architect, electricians, and pool people finally had a chance to see what it was they had been working on. As the sun set and darkness settled in, a button was pushed and the dancing fountains sprang to life. Visitors were amazed as the multicolored waters burst forth into the evening sky, twisting, swaying and leaping in perfect synchronization with the music. Many had never seen anything like it. After several performances and rounds of applause, the owner made an announcement. He was planning on developing a number of properties in the area, all featuring ?EUR??,,????'??homes of distinction?EUR??,,????'??. It was his intention to include these shows on some of these properties and offer it as an option on others. He wondered what his guests thought about this. An immediate and exuberant round of applause was the answer.
