Welcome to Kentucky, home of the ?EUR??,,????'??Main Street?EUR??,,????'?? program.


About 100 cities across Kentucky are involved in the ?EUR??,,????'??Main Street?EUR??,,????'?? program, aka Renaissance on Main, to revitalize downtown business districts and to save significant buildings. The downtown retail district is the heart of the these communities and many have been neglected for decades. The Main Street program is promoted by the Governor’s Office for Local Development (GOLD) and the Kentucky Heritage Council.

Newport, Kentucky, which has been involved with the program since the early 1990s, recently did streetscaping on Monmouth Street?EUR??,,????'??+installing brick pavers, adding light poles and improving building fa??? 1/4 ades. The new pavers alone bring a fresh, clean look to the street and invite shoppers.

In early August, the city council city of Dayton, Kentucky voted 5-1 to continue its Main Street program.
