The New Orleans City Park Rose Garden, before Katrina and now.

On March 29, 2005, the board of commissioners of the New Orleans City Park Improvement Association adopted City Park 2018, a comprehensive master plan to be ?EUR??,,????'??completed or underway by the year 2018, the 300th anniversary of the city.?EUR??,,????'?? Project consultants included the national urban planning and design firm of Wallace, Roberts & Todd, LLC, the local landscape architecture firm of Cashio Cochran LLC, and the international economic analysis firm of Economics Research Associates.

Then a small hurricane named Katrina, a category one storm, made landfall. We all know the history. Katrina returned to the Gulf of Mexico and then back to land on Aug. 29 with a vengeance?EUR??,,????'??+now a category 4 monster.

City Park continues on its journey of recovery. Several of City Park’s attractions have reopened and some events have resumed. Many donations opportunities are available.
