This new online database lists species, pesticides and protective measures for each combination

The Department of Pesticide Regulation has created a new resource to protect species in California. It’s the first interactive database of its kind in the nation. Called PRESCRIBE for “Pesticide Regulation Endangered Species Real-time Internet Bulletin Engine” it’s free, and replaces more that 2,500 pages of protection bulletins for 56 of the states 58 counties. It identifies listed species down to a one-mile-square area as well as listing 30,000 pesticides by brand name, and protective measures for each species and pesticide combination.
