Lighting Research Center

Troy, NY

The Lighting Research Center of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute will offer two Landscape Lighting Institutes in 2000 to address the need for practical and comprehensive instruction in landscape lighting. These intensive limited-enrollment sessions will combine classroom instruction, hands-on product evaluation, and design projects with evaluations of landscape lighting installations. Lighting specifiers, landscape architects, landscape contractors, facilities managers, lighting designers, garden designers, and others concerned with the appearance of properties and grounds will gain extensive experience with landscape lighting design, technique, and products.

All sessions will be led by Lighting Research Center Senior Lighting Designer Janet Lennox Moyer, IALD, an internationally recognized award-winning designer and instructor in the landscape lighting field. Lennox Moyer has taught classes in the fundamentals of landscape lighting at the University of California at Berkeley and Rutgers University. She is the author of The Landscape Lighting Book, a definitive guide to landscape lighting that encompasses both design and technical aspects.
