The Irrigation Association (IA) recently released updated guidelines for landscape contractors performing irrigation audits. It claims they reflect industry best practices regarding turf and landscape sprinkler systems.
Key goals for the guidelines include providing ?EUR??,,????'?????<????????practical, repeatable and defensible irrigation audits [to] ensure data credibility.?EUR??,,????'?????<????????
Some changes include a 24-catch device minimum when performing audits, based on research the IA claims demonstrates tighter sprinkler spacing may require the increased measuring devices. Applying information from one zone or station to another-what the association terms ?EUR??,,????'?????<????????linking?EUR??,,????'?????<????????-may also be used if an installation features many identical sprinkler zones. The IA also claims it?EUR??,,????'?????<????????????EUR??,,??s important to note the average amount of water collected is relative to how large the catch device is.
