Being called the most complete code resource on water conservation and efficiency, the 2015 WEP: Water Efficiency Provisions of the International Green Construction Code was recently released.

A joint effort by the International Code Council and ASHRAE, a global society that focuses on building systems, energy efficiency and sustainability, the publication includes water-related provisions to support jurisdictions facing critical water challenges and drought.

"The WEP provides a concise and comprehensive resource to address the challenges associated with water scarcity."

The reference covers water efficient landscape irrigation, as well as plumbing, appliances, and mechanical systems. Also, it features the latest provisions for alternate water sources like rainwater, graywater and reclaimed water. It promotes water conservation associated with both buildings and building sites, addressing numerous systems and components.
