New CLARB President

The Council for Landscape Architectural Registration Boards (CLARB) has announced the selection of Joel D. Albizo, CAE, as its new Executive Director. Albizo will begin his new position in mid-July. Albizo is currently deputy executive director of marketing and customer service for the Society of Actuaries, a Chicago-based professional association. Albizo currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Center for Association Leadership and has served as President of the Public Relations Society of America, National Capital Chapter.

Albizo will succeed Robert T. Van Hook, CAE, who has served as CLARB’s Interim Executive Director since August 2006, and whose company, Transition Management Consulting, also led the search for the new Executive Director.
