Pelco Products' bus shelter design has added options for leaning rails, benches and bike racks that can increase the length of a shelter up to 16 feet for heavily used areas. The clean lines keep small fingers safe from being pinched or getting caught in construction joints.

Pelco Products recently unveiled a new range of bus shelter products. The new arched shelter resembles an old train depot, using a nostalgic design to create a clean, striking, yet easily recognizable bus stop.

"A client came to us with the need to design and build a unique shelter for people waiting for the bus, and they had some challenges that other manufacturers had not been able to meet," stated Steve Parduhn, one of Pelco's owners. "This shelter needed to be structurally strong enough to withstand Oklahoma's extreme climate, attractive to fit into upscale neighborhoods, and provide advertising space for generating revenue. The bus shelter also needed to be distinctive and take up minimal space."

The open space is wheelchair accessible, and sturdy construction means it will withstand the elements and time.

Many built-in features, such as the roof's drip lip, will protect the public from weather and debris, while ridges keep dangerous sheets of ice from falling onto those waiting for the bus. With powder coating, the bus shelter can be custom-colored with a lasting, environmentally friendly finish.
