Sets Out Universally Agreed Upon Maintenance Protocols
According to the American Society of Civil Engineers, the stormwater management field has experienced exponential innovation over the last decade but there are no universally agreed upon maintenance protocols. To help rectify this, the ASCE has released a new publication, Inspection and Maintenance of Stormwater Control Measures. The report describes the functions and operations of stormwater control measures, offers trouble-shooting suggestions, and provides valuable information on the implementation of inspection and maintenance procedures. Topics covered in this book include tiered inspection, vegetated conveyance and filtration/infiltration practices, surface storage, and literature review findings. "This book will be a valuable resource to engineers, landscape architects, land planners, stormwater professionals and government officials performing inspection and maintenance of stormwater systems," states the organization.
