Two irrigation product makers, Netafim USA, which has produced landscape dripline products for 25 years, and Tucor Inc., which has manufactured smart controllers for 18 years, have agreed to jointly release a new product line.

Netafim USA, a manufacturer of landscape dripline products, and Tucor Inc., a manufacturer of irrigation smart controllers, recently formalized a strategic alliance agreement in which Tucor will develop web-based smart control systems for Netafim's Landscape Division.

These new controllers will be marketed by Netafim. Some will feature multi-function capabilities, including conventional, two-wire or decoder, and hybrid operation. The controllers will be applicable to new and retrofit installations.

Mauricio Troche, Netafim's director of sales and marketing for landscape and turf products, stated that this new product line will give landscape and irrigation contractors the ability to install an irrigation system using nothing but Netafim products.

"This partnership between two well-established brands guarantees product reliability and new system flexibility," he said. "It also underscores Netafim's commitment to developing water-saving technologies that benefit both commercial and residential water users."
