Mahan Rykiel Associates named

Baltimore, MD

American School and University Magazine's recipient of the Outstanding Project Award is Baltimore's own Mahan Rykiel Associates. The award was for the design of the Commons, a dormitory at the Maryland Institute of Art, the oldest degree granting art college in the country. The Commons project also recently won a Merit Award from the American Society of Landscape Architects Potomac and Maryland Chapter this past fall.

Mahan Rykiel is currently working on several other campus projects including the Open Space Project at Johns Hopkins University and the new Student Arts Center, the Arena at the University of Maryland College Park, Morgan State University Student Center and Towson University Arts Center Expansion.
