On May 19, a collection of 17 national associations including the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), and the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) wrote a combine letter to the White House opposing proposed taxations found within the President's infrastructure and human capital initiatives. The letter explained the consequences of the proposal that would lead to reduced real estate investment and it would limit opportunities for startup businesses.

 

In communicated their actions and inclusion in the letter, NAHB explained the direction they are advocating for regarding infrastructure and taxation in saying, "NAHB continues to engage with Congress on potential tax changes that may be included in an infrastructure bill, and we are pleased to stand as part of a united real estate sector against changes that will increase the cost of real estate, particularly in light of the nation's housing affordability crisis."
