NALP partnered with Labor Consultants International to further assist workers and employers with the H-2B program.

The National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) continues to work to maintain the H-2B guest worker program for U.S. seasonal employment. Recently, they solidified a strategic provider relationship with Labor Consultants International ("LCI"), a visa processing organization. The partnership will help employers and workers navigate the program better.

The H-2B program has a cap of 66,000 that was established in the early 90s and cannot keep up with current work.

In early June 2023, H-2B was added to the FY 24 base text funding bill to jumpstart funding for permanent returning worker exemption. The landscape industry is the largest profession to utilize the program.

NALP's Voices for Healthy Green Spaces allows members to stay up to date on legislation and other updates on H-2B and acts as a great resource.
