Mow for Victory Tour

Cutting across America to benefit the Victory Junction Gang Camp, this Hustler Turf Equipment Super Z lawnmower has been custom painted to resemble Richard Petty's No. 43 Dodge NASCAR race car.

HESSTON, Kan. - Beginning on Feb. 27 Hustler Turf Equipment will be driving a Super Z lawnmower that has been custom painted to resemble Richard Petty's No. 43 Dodge NASCAR race car from Los Angeles to the Victory Junction Gang Camp in Randleman, N.C.

?EUR??,,????'??I've done a lot of driving in my time,?EUR??,,????'?? said Richard Petty, winner of 200 NASCAR races. ?EUR??,,????'??But I wouldn't even try driving a lawnmower across America.?EUR??,,????'??

The Mow for Victory Tour will cover 4,000 miles as the lawnmower travels eastward, arriving at the North Carolina camp on May 28. A number of sponsors within and outside the landscape industry have signed on to the Mow for Victory Tour. Sponsors include Kohler Engines, Hydro-Gear, Aluma Trailers, ACI Motorfreight, GT Sales and Manufacturing, Printing Inc. and Print Source.

Victory Junction Gang Camp is a year-round, racing-themed camp in Randleman, just outside of Greensboro. The camp serves children 7 to 15 who have chronic or life-threatening illnesses that might not otherwise be able to go to camp.

Each week-long session of 125 campers is organized into disease-specific groups. The camp serves kids with hemophilia, rheumatoid arthritis, cancer, spina bifida, kidney diseases, asthma, sickle cell disease, burn survivors, skin disease, heart disease, epilepsy, HIV and immune disorders.

Children attend the camp free of charge as the camp is entirely funded by contributions. For more information go to www.mowforvictorytour.com or call Shelly Lujano of Hustler Turf Equipment at 620-327-1229.
