The BBC reports that landscape architect Max Norman, 41, of Ipswich, Scotland, was found dead Saturday Jan. 31, by a Torridon Mountain rescue team after an avalanche on Coireag Dubh Mor in Scotland's Western Highlands. Norman, an experienced mountaineer, was with another climber, who was found first, trying to walk out to get help. The pair were reported missing on Friday. Rescuers began the search on Friday, but had to call it off until Saturday because of bad weather. The Scotsman reports Norman studied at Edinburgh College of Art and was an award-winning landscape architect working on projects in the UK, Sweden, Beirut and Hong Kong. The paper said Norman moved to Suffolk eight years ago and established his growing firm on Ipswich's new waterfront with his wife Charlotte, also a landscape architect. The landscape architect also leaves behind three children.
